UPGRADE NOTES
=============

Since most if not all people are using the Alpha versions, the upgrade has to
be based off the current released alphas.

If you are still running 1.07.3, you can download the upgrade package to get
to the latest Alpha version, and then follow the instructions below. *IF*
there are enough people who require the 1.07.3 to 1.08 upgrade, I may
create something to do that, but for now it is not in the plans do to the
released alphas.

Upgrading to 1.08 from Alpha versions
=====================================

FROM 1.08 ALPHA 31 LINUX:

If you are running the latest release Linux alpha, which is 1.08 Alpha 31,
then you can follow these instructions to upgrade to 1.08:

1. Back up your system!
2. Execute "a31_to_a32" in your root Mystic directory.
3. Add the new prompts to your language file (prompts are shown below)
4. Install the 108 full install to a dummy directory
5. Copy over ALL of the executable files (don't forget mide/mplc in
   scripts directory)
6. Recompile your language file(s).
7. Recompile your MPL programs
8. Delete chat*.dat from your data directory

FROM 1.08 ALPHA 33 WINDOWS:

For the most part this should just be a replacement of the old EXE files
with the newer 1.08 EXE files, with the exception of TSERVER which should
be deleted and replaced with MIS.

1. Back up your system.
2. Your language files should already have the prompts shown below, but it
   might be a good idea to double check.
3. Do a full installation of 108/Windows in a dummy directory
4. Copy the new 1.08 executables over the old ones.
5. Recompile your MPL files
6. Recompile your language file (if you needed to add the new prompts).
7. Delete chat*.dat from your data directory.
8. Delete TSERVER, as it has been replaced with MIS.EXE
