The new version of AsiaCom's TianMa2 print module gives you two
new high-resolution Chinese fonts: a 40- by 40-pixel Fangsongti
font for Epson, NEC, and compatible 24-pin dot-matrix printers
and a 64- by 64-pixel Fangsongti font for the Hewlett-Packard
LaserJet and Deskjet.

The module is a ROM card, containing fonts, databases, and
system logic. You get a choice between Pinyin and Bopomofo
text-entry methods, simplified and classical characters, fast
homonym lookup and replacement, and support for the Xinhua Zidian
character set, both simplified and classical fonts. In addition,
TianMa2 Plus lets you create characters and store up to 256 new
Hanzi characters. The user dictionary lets you add terms up to
your disk's available memory, and the dictionary has a macro
capability that lets you define your own abbreviations for Hanzi
expressions. There are two character sizes -- large for headlines
and small for text -- and Chinese punctuation.

TianMa2 Plus runs on the IBM PC XT with 640K bytes of RAM, DOS
2.0, a hard-disk drive, and a graphics adapter. You get typical
word processing features and you can import ASCII, WordStar, and
WordPerfect text.
