The HNS- and HWS-series of computers are designed for networking
and desktop applications, respectively, according to manufacturer
Handok. They're available in 12- and 16-MHz 80286 and 16-MHz
80386SX configurations. Handok is showing these systems at
Comdex.
 
The HNS systems are diskless with three available add-in slots,
a 3.5-inch 1.44-megabyte floppy disk drive, MS-DOS, and GW-BASIC.
 
RAM on the 80286-based systems is 1 megabyte (upgradable to 4
megabytes). Standard RAM on the SX system is 2 megabytes
upgradable to 8 megabytes. All the systems have a 16-bit VGA
controller on their motherboards, an integrated floppy-disk drive
controller, a IDE hard-disk interface, and a 101-key keyboard.
 
All the systems are also compatible with OS/2, Xenix, Unix,
NetWare, and all the typical networking hardware.
