The Sun Moon Star 386SX is a 16-MHz machine that's designed for
ease of use. Unpack the machine, connect the cables, flip the
on-switch and it boots into the easy-to-use GEM/3 Desktop
graphics environment. There's no need to know any DOS
commands -- though DOS is included -- and it also comes with
ready-to-use applications.

Sun Moon Star picked GEM/3 Desktop as the environment with
Digital Research's DOS clone in ROM so the machine can boot
without a drive. Also included is PFS First Choice for
spreadsheet, word processor, and database applications, PC Tools
Deluxe as a DOS Utility, GEM Draw Plus for drawing, and a vaccine
utility.

Standard hardware includes 1 megabyte of RAM (expandable to 8 on
the motherboard), an AMI BIOS, a 40-megabyte 28 millisecond
Connor hard disk drive, a 1.2-megabyte 5.25-inch floppy disk
drive, a 640 by 480 pixel 14-inch monochrome monitor and card, a
three-button mouse, a keyboard, and a Sun Moon Star 145-watt
power supply.

Optional equipment includes VGA graphics. There's room to add two
extra half-height drives and four full-length 16-bit add-in
cards. And the small-footprint desktop chassis is padded so you
can place the unit on your desktop or on its right or left side
as a tower beside your desk.

Price: $2995.
