The latest system from Blue Star Marketing is an inexpensive
33-MHz 80386 in a small-footprint chassis. It should be available
in this month, and it is one of the first machines to be covered
by Blue Star's 5-year system board warranty.

Standard equipment includes 1 megabyte of RAM, expandable to 16
megabytes on the Caching Technology motherboard, floppy and
40-megabyte disk drives, flat-screen 12-inch monochrome Samsung
monitor, and a keyboard.

After you include the hard disk drive and your choice of
1.2-megabyte 5.25- or 3.5-inch 1.44-megabyte floppy-disk drive,
there's room for three more half-height drives. Similarly, once
you include the monitor driver, the hard/floppy disk controller,
and the board for the serial, game, and two parallel ports,
you're left with one open 32-bit slot and four 16-bit slots,
Blue Star Marketing says.

Some other basics include an AMI BIOS, a 200-watt power supply
and a socket for an 80387 math coprocessor. Bundled software
includes a database, spreadsheet, and word processing program.
DOS is optional.

Price: $3500; DOS, $80.
