Mylex introduced three EISA-compatible cards for SCSI, Ethernet,
and graphics applications.
 
The DCE376 is a EISA-based SCSI controller based on the Intel
80376 processor running at 16 MHz. It features up to 16 megabytes
of cache memory and bus master transfer rates up to 26 megabytes
per second. Delivery will begin next month and each controller
will ship with at least 1 megabye of RAM.
 
The LNE390 is a 32-bit EISA Ethernet adapter that's based on
the National Semiconductor DP8390 Network Interface Controller.
With the full burst-mode capability of the EISA bus, the LNE 390
can improve network server performance by as much as 20 percent,
Mylex claims. This board will be available next month.
 
The GXE020A is a graphics board with Texas Instruments 34020
graphics processor running at 40 MHz. It features 1680 by 1024 by
8 pixel resolution. Shipments are promised for the first quarter
of 1990.
