Enclosed is a copy of Analog V2.11, a FREE log file analysis program.
I have searched for a long time to find a reasonably priced log file
analyzer and this is the best I came up with. Among other features, it
will:

  Do DNS domain name lookups
  Plot graphs of usage
Allow you to exclude your own domain from the statistics

It will do a lot more, but these are the main features I liked.

One problem is that Analog will not work directly with the Wildcat
wchttp.log file. It mainly works with the Common Log File format. One
of the Analog users wrote a file converter for me called WC2CLF.EXE.
To run the program, type:

  WC2CLF <source> <target>

where <source> and <target> are the full path names of those files. You
can then run Analog on the target file. I have enclosed a copy of the
Analog configuration file that I use so you can get a better idea of
what options to use.

When you extract Analog, make certain you extract the files using the
directory entries. Otherwise the program won't work.

Let's see if we can convince Mustang to include browser and referrer log
files in Wildcat as well. That way we will get a lot more information
from Analog.

P.S. Analog is freeware from an individual who likes doing this stuff. I
don't work for him and am not associated with him an any way, except for
the fact that I like Analog. I can't help with any support questions, but
the author has been very helpful for me.
